Eye See View is my fine art photography brand umbrella.
If I had to characterise my work under Eye See View then I would say that it is split between pattern recognition/geometry and empathy. I love patterns, identifying them and so I am naturally drawn to architecture but also to nature. And love of patterns and geometry does not necessarily mean symmetry – fractal geometry bears much resemblance with those patterns found in nature.
And by empathy, I mean an appreciation of the story or history associated with an object or view. So that might be the weathering of a door, for example, how it bears its age – where it is worn from touch; the patination due to sun and rain and so on. In our modern age life moves so quickly that I feel we need to slow down and not always thirst for the new, but better appreciate the old and ponder why it endures.
